I certainly had a few frights when the pump had been standing for a while and
 the hardener nozzle didn't deliver anything on the first stroke, as  the
meniscus had retreated up the spout.  I can be avoided by capping the end
with a piece of tape after use.

And  yes, once the valve stuck.  Quite a job emptying the thing to get at it,
as you can't detach the container without losing it all.
