| I find that the 3/8"-16 Nyloc nut which secures the top of the dampers to the reaction plate is too thick - 0.460 in - to clear the retraction arm even without safety threads protruding. Local stores don't carry a half height version and Aircraft Spruce doesn't list one for 3/8-16". I am hesitant to file it down so it fits since this will reduce the strength considerably given the amount which needs removal. So, how should this be handled? John A044 |
