Using a video camera to check tacho. accuracy is supposed to work very well. This is on the basis that the shutter speed in a video camera is timed at 1/500 sec. and is accurately crystal controlled to enable the tapes to playback on video machines. Certainly, having tried it, good results can be achieved, but I can`t comment on the accuracy of the camera shutter speed and whether the result is really as good as it would seem. Duncan McFadyean |
