Hello fellow builders. I am builder #60 and just discovered this online
internet forum. Yesterday was my first day getting messages. I'm seeing alot
of traffic about a "torque tube mod", but I don't have any clue what it's all
about? It does sound like something I should be concerned about. Can anyone
explain to me what's going on?
Thanks,
Garry Stout, Tampa Florida

It seems such a long time since I assembled the thing that I can't
really remember why this should be necessary - it will probably
become
obvious when I start do do it, but in the meantime any further words
on
the matter would be welcome.

Rolph,
This is just a tip Neville gave me. The bolts are such a precise fit in
the push rod bearings that on re-assembly through such a small hole
you have difficulty in re- inserting the bolt. By pre inserting a
centralising tool (merely a bolt of the same size with a filed or
ground conical end to the thread) you can re-insert the bolt easily,
pushing out the centralising tool in the process.
On the other hand, Graham's idea of cutting the hole in the seat
back would make this task much easier!
