Maybe put a small
recess in the wing root for the connectors (I'm guessing here
since I don't exactly recall
the wing root details).
You don't need to do that as there is plenty of space between the wing root
and the fuselage side to house connectors. I am making a small bracket to sit
on the side of the fuselage to hold a mate-n-lok connector and then have a
flying lead come out of the wing.
