The new battery position is 72" aft of the firewall. Allowing another 24"
max to the engine puts the cables at 8' long.

Europa are recommending/selling 24Ah for the 912 and 914 and 32Ah for the
912S. Some of that I am sure is ballast to compensate for the engine in the
XS being moved 4" further forward than the original design. The battery was
originally located at the firewall but has now moved aft.

The 914 of course does need good alternator out capability as it only has
electric fuel pumps. No electrics - no fly!
