If the bungee stretches with age (which will certainly happen eventually) or it wasn't tight enough in the first place it is very difficult to retract the gear as Martin Stoner found on one initial test flight. For the sake of extending the routing of the bungee a little, you at least have a much better access to do any adjustments. I cannot believe everyone is going to get it perfect first time and not get at least a little stretch in subsequent years. Nigel Charles |
