Not really. Temp varies a lot over the cylinder heads, hot near the 
exhaust, cooler near the inlet. I would suggest the best place to measure 
coolant temp is the swirl pot, just downstream of the cylinder heads.
Teh important thing is to have a warning when the coolant gets close to 
boiling, say 120 deg C if you have gone to 50/50 glycol water. PFA are now 
recommending 80/20 which will give you 170 ish boil at 1 bar overpressure, 
only 130 at atmospheric pressure.
If someone could do a test for us, measure coolant temp at start of take 
off on a hot day, then again at 200 feet, I suspect we might get an 
unpleasant surprise.
