David, A frequent cause of running-on in IC engines is local overheating of, for example, spark plug points or carbon deposits. Try pulling the choke as you switch off as this will cool the hot area (if it exists). Worth a try and if it does stop straight away, richen the mixture very slightly but don't use the choke as a permanent means of stopping it. Regards, Ron Jones. |
