In other words does the rpm in the off position equate to a single mag working? If so your problem is likely to be associated with one of the ignition systems. As it seems to be a problem when hot you may have a faulty electronic ignition module. If you were to isolate one system after the problem has occurred and then try another start and shutdown you should be able to identify the offending system. Whilst your aircraft has this problem your prop is potentially permanently live so treat with extreme caution when turning over the prop before start. I know that the ignition circuits normally need at least 250rpm to work but the fault (if associated with an electronic module) might affect this protection feature. Nigel Charles |
