Hi All,
I had the exact same problem with my 912S. Would shut off the ignition and
the engine would keep running. Sometimes it would shut off & sometimes it
wouldn't. I checked every bit of wiring and could not find a problem.
Then by luck I tugged on a wire at the ignition connector up on top of the
engine and it just pulled out!! Seems the wire broke right at the crimp
connector that Rotax uses for the ignition. The shrinkwrap was holding it
together but when it got hot it lost contact and when I tested it it was
cool and making contact. Drove me NUTS!!!!
Anyway I got rid of the connectors and hard wired it and it has worked
perfect since.
