Matt,
A couple of things can cause this. The easy thing is to check the waste
gate setting to make sure that it is fully closed at idle. It is probably a
good idea to check the throttle calibration, depending on the model 914 you
have you can either connect it directly to your PC or you will need to get a
hold of an adapter. Once you have it connected to your PC you can do some
in-flight checks to make sure that your air box temperatures are not too
high, if they are your TCU will automatically reduce the amount of boost
available. The only fix to this problem is an intercooler. Europa has a
kit available for this.
