The guys at Phoenix Composits and others including myself have taken 2
layers of very light bid about 3/4" wide and have covered the entire
perimeter interface between the door and plexiglass. The PC guys have
noted that after the aircraft has been painted and over time a small crack
in the paint along this interface occurs almost without fail. With all the
planes they have done they say that this is the hot setup.
