Hi Cliff and thanks for the Throttle Cable Tip.  The length as  supplied 
(1.6mtrs) is supposed to be spot on so as to leave a high loop  within the 
engine
bay.  Did you find that the problem was solved when  you cut out this loop?  
Originally the old cables worked fine at this  same length and I only changed 
them because I thought they may have become  internally worn, but this seems 
not to be the case.
Do you remember if you cut them to any specific length?
