Oh i realize fire is not a primary issue in a forced landing, and I am not sure
what the availability of airstrips is like in Europe, but with some areas of
Australia once you leave the coastal strip you could be looking at
an hour or more of flying before you have any options for landing because
of the mountains and total lack of population. Given that, landing in trees
is mostly your only option, and just seems like less weight would be a good
thing
in that situation IMHO
