 King radio as I can hear myself talk.It may be that the unit itself is
faulty but before I have the whole panel out again and send it for
checking - anyone with similar experience or ideas please. ?

Hi Michael,
What intercom unit is it?
I have a Flightcom 403MC unit which is factory set to allow incoming
transmissions to mute the intercom. A jumper wire has to be cut to stop this
happening.
