Dave,
This would be off the vacuum pump drive. A shaft would go into the drive
just like a vacuum pump. A timing belt pulley and belt would be attached to
that shaft. There would be a second shaft with a different size pulley. The
belt would go to the second shaft. The alternator would be attached to the
second shaft. The belt is quite narrow, about 1/2" wide. I'm guessing the
whole setup would be about 1" wide. thats the question, is there enough
space for a B&C alternator and another inch? This is similar to the
serpentine belt on your car.
