For those people who don't frequent the Aeroelectric list, Bob Nuckolls has reported that his crowbar units suffer from very occasional nuisance trips in some aircraft. This is why, I think, he recommends use of an accessible c/b with it, rather than a fuse, which he normally prefers. He also suggests testing the crowbar (by creating an overvoltage by means of your choice) on installation and annually thereafter. John Cliff #0259 |
