All this uncertainty arises from the use of the phrase "both sides",
which in the context of a flat fuselage bulkhead can be taken to mean
mean (f'rinstance) either the left and right edges; or the fore and
aft faces. If the Europa manual-writer had been a bit more pedantic
and used either "edge" or "face" everywhere that "side" is presently
written, there'd be less of these questions!
