That is light weight sound reduction product at 0.7 lbs sqf. If it works on
the
firewall please post results.
Dad spent many thousands of hours flying in the western Canadian Arctic behind
a variety of aircraft that were rather loud but the worst was his Helio Courier
with its gear driven Lycoming G0-435 he found a good solution though with
adhesive
foam & .010 lead at 6 lbs sqf. it was much heavier than the product you
have but it made the geared Lycoming seem almost silent.
